The Richaven and Hanley herds of Beef Shorthorns are starting to make their mark, with this year’s crop of calves looking highly promising and the herds having recently enjoyed show success as well as selling the first bull to leave the farm.

At Royal Three Counties Show young bull Hanley Legend, a Meonhill Hells Angel son out of Meonhill Skjaklin Phoebe, an Eionmor Highlander daughter, stood fourth in his class, being the youngest bull of nine.

Meanwhile, Richaven Leeroy, a polled son of Elliot Danny Boy out of Meonhill Flossy Freedom, sold to J D, K B and J J Medley of York for commercial use.
